Software License Manager

OSAAVA Services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software License Manager to join our high-performing Tiger Team supporting the IRES contract in Colorado Springs. This position plays a critical role in the management of software assets across a large, complex DoD environment. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance, optimizing costs, and ensuring accurate tracking of all software licensing to support IT and mission operations. This is an excellent opportunity to support mission-critical enterprise services at one of the most advanced defense environments in the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and manage software licenses, renewals, maintenance agreements, and compliance across the IRES contract environment.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of software assets using approved asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).
• Work closely with procurement, engineering, cybersecurity, and legal teams to ensure compliant software usage.
• Analyze software usage data and recommend cost-optimization strategies and license consolidation opportunities.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to DoD and agency software asset management policies.
• Serve as the focal point for vendor communication regarding license terms, renewals, entitlements, and true-ups.
• Assist in the development and implementation of software asset management policies and standard operating procedures.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards on software license usage, entitlement status, and compliance risks.
• Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on proper license usage and procurement protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

• IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in software asset or license management, preferably in a DoD or IC environment.
• Working knowledge of enterprise licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, VMware, Red Hat).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred or ability to obtain).
