Frank and Grossman Landscape Contractors, Inc. is a full service landscape construction and maintenance company serving the greater Bay Area from Carmel to Sonoma. Job requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
  • Aptitude for understanding and implementing general construction
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and efficiently calculate change orders.
  • Understand most aspects of landscape construction and practical sequencing of installation.
  • Prepare in advance for all future work, on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Conduct yourself and your work in an organized and professional manner.
  • Communicate in a professional and reasonable manner at all times.
  • Ability to collaborate with all team members.
  • Ability to manage and direct construction crews and subcontractors in an efficient and professional manner.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the successful management and implementation of landscape construction projects.
  • Manage and oversee project foreman and construction crews on site.
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors and their work on site.
  • Communicate with F&G team members in a timely manner. Return phone calls asap, reply to all emails within 24 hours, and texts within 4 hours.
  • Communicate with all project team members in a timely manner. Return phone calls asap, reply to all emails within 24 hours, and texts within 4 hours.
  • Submit personal time cards weekly and construction crew timecards daily (on time).Code and submit all invoices and credit card receipts on a weekly basis.
  • Review and comprehend project construction documents, cost estimates, and contractual scope for construction projects.
  • Review construction regularly and stay apprised of ALL activity on site.
  • Collaborate with F&G Team on formalizing As-built documents.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in construction management- Residential Landscape preferred
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction documents
  • Proficient use of Excel and general computer use
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and willingness to ask a lot of questions
  • Clean driving record.

  • Stand and sit for prolonged amounts of time
  • Walk, bend, kneel, and twist
  • Talk and hear
  • Lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Finger and hand dexterity to feel, handle, and operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
