Job Description
Under the supervision and direction of the Staff Services Manager I, provides a variety of receipt, storage, issuance, and shipping functions and support for programs and activities within the Shipping and Receiving Unit for the CalEPA Headquarters Building and its Boards, Departments, and Offices. The incumbent must also be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently, perform heavy physical labor, estimate possible future demands of various supplies based on past needs, operate powered or nonpowered materials handling equipment as necessary, and maintain a safe work environment.

Working Conditions
This position is not currently eligible for telework. The incumbent will be required to report to the position's designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense. Position located in a high-rise building
Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods.
Standard office environment (for example, artificial lighting, controlled temperature, etc.)
Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
Must be able to move/transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Additional working condition(s): Must be able to: (1) Make deliveries throughout a 25-story building, (2) Operate powered and non-powered materials handling equipment, (3) Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, (4) Go up and down stairs and ladders, (5) Reach, turn, kneel, bend, and climb, and (6) Adapt to rotational cross-training.
