Position Overview: A Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the transportation, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished solar modules. The role ensures smooth supply chain operations, efficient inventory management, and timely delivery of materials and products while optimizing costs and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials (solar cells, glass, frames, encapsulants, back sheets, etc.) and finished solar modules.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Optimize logistics routes and distribution networks to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
  • Inventory Management & Warehousing:
  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Implement warehouse management systems (WMS) for efficient tracking and storage.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or quality degradation.
  • Shipping & Distribution:
  • Plan and execute domestic and international shipments of solar modules.
  • Ensure compliance with export/import regulations, including customs documentation and trade laws.
  • Collaborate with freight carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
  • Process Optimization & Cost Control:
  • Analyze logistics processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate freight contracts and optimize transportation costs.
  • Implement lean logistics strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure all logistics operations adhere to safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Follow quality control standards to ensure product integrity during transportation.
  • Technology & Data Management:
  • Utilize ERP and logistics software for real-time tracking of shipments and inventory.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) like delivery time, cost efficiency, and inventory turnover.
  • Implement digital solutions to improve supply chain transparency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with procurement, production, and sales teams to align logistics with business needs.
  • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring the availability of materials for production schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve logistics-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, preferably in manufacturing or solar energy.
  • Knowledge of freight management, warehouse operations, and supply chain best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in solar module manufacturing or renewable energy industry.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and Incoterms.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analytics, and process optimization tools.
