Job Description
As the Food Safety Intern you will support all Food Safety programs and initiatives. Assist Food Safety Specialist with daily/weekly work assignments and requirements. This position will work directly with Food Safety specialist under the direction of the Food Safety and Quality Manager.
What you do as a Food Safety Intern - Assist in developing and updating food safety documents.
- File documents and update databases.
- Audit operational activities to ensure food safety compliance.
- Verify chemical concentrations by performing titrations.
- Provide support/assistance with on-site regulatory inspections.
- Assist in obtaining environmental samples and performing laboratory analyses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring - Pursuing a bachelor's degree in food science, Agricultural Science, Microbiology, or another similar technical field.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
- Proficient use of computers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work independently with little oversight.
