Volt is immediately hiring for a
Field Service Technician- Controls (Allen Bradley/Siemens) in the Cincinnati, OH area . (candidates from the Midwest or Southeast USA along the I-75 corridor will be considered) If you have a maintenance background with robotics and automated systems, then this position is for you!
Perks: - Direct hire, $39-45/hr*
- Company vehicle.
- No out of pocket expenses: Company credit card for travel expenses ( plus you will receive per diem ).
- Company cell phone and laptop provided.
Location and travel info: Cincinnati, OH and surrounding states. Working hours: Monday through Friday, with paid overtime as necessary to complete required tasks. Typically you will be out away from home Monday-Friday and staying in hotels during the week.
Travel : You will be issued a company truck or rental for the travel to and from customers’ sites if necessary. Other times will require air travel and head to the airport and get a rental car upon arrival Some weeks are leave Monday morning and return Friday evening. Paid travel time.
As a
Field Service Technician (Controls) you will:
- Travel to client locations
- Complete troubleshooting, repairs, installations, retrofits and upgrade performance to customer equipment
- Work with automated industrial systems (troubleshooting and installs)
- Efficiently and effectively troubleshoot and rectify all problem areas on production equipment and related systems
This is a
full time, Direct Hire opportunity
Preferred Education and Experience - Required : extensive experience working with Allen Bradley or Siemens controls
- PLC experience (Siemens HMI or Allen Bradley)
- Programming: Ladder diagram, Structured text, Instruction list, modules
- Components: IO modules, safety circuits, drives, vision systems, HMIs
- Networks: Ethernet IP, ProfiNET, Profibus
- Preferred education : Associates Degree in Technical field preferred and 3+ years of related experience in the controls/robotics field, preferably as a Field Service Engineer or Technician, or combination of education and experience
- Preferred knowledge: Understanding of injection mold machinery processes ( plastics or foam industries )
- Strong Mechanical / Electrical aptitude
- Solid technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Pay : $39-45 hourly rate + daily per diem
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
