BRAINBOX, a vibrant event-marketing company, is looking for a Data Entry Specialist to enter data from handwritten paper documents into Excel spreadsheets. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Excel and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and a senior Data Entry team member. Understanding of confidentiality principles is required. 

Work hours are flexible based on schedule but can only occur between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m, Monday through Friday. No evenings or weekends. Estimated 20 - 30 hours per week. 

Responsibilities 

• Type in confidential handwritten data provided directly from customers. 

• Verify data by comparing it to source documents. 

• Validate data through secondary sources. 

• Retrieve missing data, such as zip codes, from internet search. 

• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation. 

• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost. 

Skills 

• Fast typing skills. Knowledge of touch-typing is necessary. 

• High degree of input accuracy 

• Great attention to detail 

• Basic understanding of databases 

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.) 

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Teams or similar systems (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) 

• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware 

• Good command of English both oral and written

Job Type: Part-time 

Salary: $12.00-15.00 per hour 

Work Location: In person
