Job Title: Contracts Analyst I

Location: San Diego, CA, 92121

Duration: 12 months +

Position Overview:

The position serves as the internal business partner and primary point of contact for the field sales team customer support, commercial contracting, Sales Support and the install team. A Contract Data Specialist delivers value throughout the contract activation process to order journey by ensuring that all aspects are handled in an accurate and expeditious manner while delivering an elite customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regional Diagnostic sales teams to facilitate matters related to back-office needs and issues, such as Salesforce sales agreement and pricing activations, Oracle pricing discrepancies resolution, product pricing, sales order lookup, price notification, activating and deactivating of pricing.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal teams to support the needs of the sales team and their customers. Key groups include Install Project team, Customer Support, Commercial Contracts, Finance, Sales Support, Sales Excellence and Internal Audit.
  • Process contract activations and executions and administer customer pricing in Salesforce and Oracle.
  • Act as the facilitator for Salesforce.com Diagnostic Account Executive sales agreement activations by translating reading customer signed documents and quote builds to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Contracts and take the initiative to understand contractual implications when activating Sales agreements.
  • Take ownership and ensure a timely resolution of escalated issues that arise on behalf of the sales rep and their customer.
  • Execute best practices for customer contract pricing setup.
  • Ensure timely research, root cause resolution and respond to pricing inquiries from internal and external customers in specified turn-around time.
  • Provide support to the other Contracts Data Specialists.
  • Maintain an understanding of contract requirements to ensure all applicable contract obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Interact directly with internal and external customers, Directors of National Accounts, and field sales regarding contracts (i.e. pricing, products under contract, contract requirement, etc.); provide any ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Support contract renewal process in partnership with Sales Support and Commercial Contract Specialists.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to the contract activation and execution process.
  • Work on ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Participate and engage in product training opportunities and product launches to ensure knowledge is up to date to best support our internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Oracle R12 preferred and the ability to learn other computer programs a must.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.
  • High energy, self-motivated, proactive, goal oriented and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to grasp the larger picture/how all pieces interact and affect one another
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work well within a team.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

  • 4+ years’ experience in sales support, contracts support, or legal support role.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar system.
  • Experience working with and supporting sales and sales contracts in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with contracts a plus.
