Roles & Responsibilities:

CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST POSITION(s)

Day shift , Evening and Night

Full-time, Part-time and Perdiem

· Duties may include - as needed/assigned : Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation

· Performs chemistry and hematology procedures, Quality Control, enter results into LIS, follow Lab policy and procedures.

· Knowledge of automated equipment. Knowledge of chemistry and hematology and instrumentation.

· Must perform maintenance, troubleshooting procedures as required.

· Performs Quality control as required

· Must be proficient in manual differentials and body fluid cell counts.

· Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation

· Performs all lab tests and procedures as they pertain to the specific activities of the department

· Performs Quality control and maintenance procedures as required by the department. Performs manual differentials, normal and abnormal, cell counts, coagulation procedures, Urinalysis.

· Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Manager

Requirements:

  • NYS Licensed Medical Technologist, BS degree required in Science. ASCP preferred – Experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in manual differentials and body fluid cell count.
  • Computer literate, Excellent communication skills

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $45.98 - $57.09 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Lab Technologist - Blood Bank

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $49.14 - $60.25 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.
