Job Description

Full-Time Licensed Athletic Trainer - Rayville, LA (First Shift)

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Athletic Trainer to join our team in Rayville, LA. In this full-time, first-shift role, you will be a movement expert who helps improve the quality of life for employees through exercise guidance, hands-on care, and education. This position is designed for someone passionate about wellness, with a focus on reducing discomfort, promoting healthy behaviors, and facilitating key health initiatives within the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Movement Expertise: Provide exercise guidance, hands-on care, and education to improve employees' mobility, reduce discomfort, and prevent injuries
  • Health and Wellness Outreach: Set up, conduct, and facilitate various health and wellness outreach initiatives, including:
    • Monitoring and educating employees on blood pressure, blood glucose levels, cholesterol, BMI, and both hypertension and hypotension
    • Offering smoking cessation education and coaching employees on healthy eating habits
    • Creating and delivering a wellness newsletter that shares health tips, updates, and motivational content
    • Organizing and participating in tabling events to raise awareness and encourage engagement with wellness resources
  • Wellness Programming:
    • Develop and deliver project-level wellness programming that supports a culture of active caring and addresses employees' holistic health needs
    • Implement Health Promotion Programming like company-wide challenges, workshops, and events to boost employee engagement in health initiatives
    • Provide informational signage and resources to highlight key wellness dates and monthly initiatives
  • Stretching Programs & Education:
    • Create and facilitate dynamic, mass stretch sessions and small group trade-specific or body-part-specific stretches to improve mobility, reduce injury risk, and enhance overall physical health
    • Introduce tools of mobility and teach body mechanics to address high-risk tasks or populations
    • Support high-risk activities with group coaching sessions and promote a safe and healthy work environment
  • Health Behavior Coaching:
    • Work one-on-one with employees to provide personalized health behavior coaching, guiding them in making lasting positive health changes
  • Safety & Wellness Integration:
    • Collaborate with the Wellness Team to support and promote site-wide health and safety initiatives
    • Assess incidents and provide education and recommendations within first-aid guidelines; communicate with Medics/nurses on further actions
    • Attend weekly safety meetings and participate in site walks to ensure the health and safety of the work environment
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Athletic Trainer with active state certification
  • Mental Health First Aider Certification (preferred)
  • Massage (Soft Tissue) Training (preferred)
  • Experience in health coaching, injury prevention, and providing hands-on care
  • Ability to engage employees in wellness activities and promote healthy behaviors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate and motivate employees
  • Strong organizational skills to manage wellness initiatives and outreach programs

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, First Shift position
  • Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility based on site needs
