Coast Electric is looking for an Accounting Intern from a local University who is majoring in accounting and is at a junior or senior level. This position will provide relevant skills in a variety of accounting functions via on-the-job training. This is a paid temporary internship that will work a minimum of 16 hours a week not to exceed 24 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is detailed oriented and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your job as our Accounting Intern will include reconciling general ledger accounts, roll forward analysis of balance sheet accounts, and monthly financial statement review and analysis. You will assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures and manage the monthly tracking of our fixed assets. You will provide clerical support for quarterly Payroll Taxes and assist with accounts receivable, payable and bank statement reconciliations. You will be doing data entry and assisting with audits.

You will report directly to the Accounting Supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Actively enrolled at local University Accounting Major at junior or senior level

Proficient use of SEDC, Outlook, Word, and Excel Strong technical and organizational skills

High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality
