Job Description

A full-time Special Education Co-Teaching position is available for the 25/26 school year, focusing on 8th grade math in a middle school setting located in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves collaborating with general education teachers to deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-teach 8th grade math content alongside general education teachers
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special education needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and needs

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification, or eligibility for emergency certification through the PA Department of Education
• Experience in co-teaching preferred but not required
